DEVELOPING INNOVATIVE STRATEGIES

ACHIEVING REAL CHANGE

The Library Equal Access Project (LEAP) seeks to ensure that everyone in the community has access to learning at the library. As public assets are evermore "re-imagined" as private institutions, we must fight for our all-inclusive rights before these community facilities are rebranded into corporate venues for privatization and exclusion. When marginalized patrons and citizens are made to feel they do not have a place and a home in their local communties, we all consequently experience the pitfalls of a divided hope for a common good.  LEAP advocates on the behalf of those who are experienceing homelessness, those who have disabilities, and those who have been banned from our public libraries. All people deserve the liberty to learn!
